Dick Vermeil, Calistoga native, Super-Bowl winning NFL Coach, wine lover, and great friend is partnering with us in the crafting and marketing of all OnThEdge wines.  Our Cabernet Sauvignon-based Jean Louis Vermeil red is a special tribute to Dick’s ancestors Garibaldi Iaccheri and Jean Louis Vermeil.  Through coincidence or fate, these two pre-prohibition Napa Valley pioneers once owned and farmed the vineyard lands which today, nearly 100 hears later, provide OnThEdge with our high quality fruit!  Over the years, these vineyards were gradually acquired by the Frediani Family.  In fact, the original buildings of the pre-prohibition Calistoga Wine Company established by Iaccheri, still stand amidst the Frediani Vineyards.  Avid wine lovers and ambassadors, it is common for Dick and his charming wife Carol to host dinners in their home for family, friends, coaches and players.  Last but certainly not least, we are blessed to have John Scarpa whose roots extend to a childhood East Coast truck farm and who also appreciates the earth, good food and fine wines, as a most welcome and essential member of our team.
